WaterGuard and CactusBoard are installed in New Homes throughout Wisconsin and Illinois.

Basement Systems' patented new construction foundation waterproofing products, WaterGuard and CactusBoard, are changing the way new homes are being built to prevent wet basements in Wisconsin and Illinois. More and more builders are installing WaterGuard and CactusBoard drainage systems in new homes each year to ensure that those homes never have a wet basement. These products are only available in your area from Badger Basement Systems, the authorized Basement Systems dealer in the greater Madison and Milwaukee, Wisconsin areas and the greater Rockford, Illinois area.

Badger Basement Systems also installs the ScapeWel Egress Window Well.

WaterGuard Sub-floor drainage for new construction

Interior perimeter drains are good insurance in new construction and the best solution for retrofits. The WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system is placed on top of the footing to collect water that leaks in through the wall/floor joint, the basement walls or up from under the floor and is channeled to a sump pump. The WaterGuard footing drain is then back-filled with stone and can be covered with concrete, with only a small flange showing above the floor for a neat, finished look. This flange serves as a built-in wall drain and also keeps dirt and debris from getting into the system.

An alternative method is the CactusBoard footing-wall drain that is only used for new construction waterproofing. CactusBoard is a drainage flashing that also sits on the footer. This flashing has a dimpled  profile that allows any water from the walls to flow beneath the slab and into the sump pump. As CactusBoard is not a drain channel, it requires stone aggregate beneath the basement floor so that the water can drain to the sump pump.
